Hannah Star Rogers (MFA, PhD) is poet, academic, and curator who works at the intersection of art and science. She has taught at writing at Columbia University, Cornell University, and the University of Virginia, and is currently a visiting scholar in Creative Writing at Strathclyde University in Scotland.

She is the co-founder of A Sense of Place, a writing program based at UVA’s Environmental Research Station (ABCRC) in Oyster, VA, and has taught writing at ArtLab at Mountain Lake Biological Station and the Highlands Biological Station in North Carolina. Her poems and reviews have appeared in The Kenyon Review, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Tupelo Quarterly, The Carolina Quarterly,  and Small Orange Journal.

Her flash fiction has been honored by Nat. Brut and Glimmer Train. She has received the Akademie Schloss Solitude Fellowship in Stuttgart, Germany, Djerassi Artist Residency in Woodside, CA, the international artist residency at ArtHub in Kingman, AZ, the Arctic Circle in Finland, and National Park Service Artist Residencies in both Acadia, Maine and the Everglades, FL.
